TAKWEEN is an urban development firm established in 2009 in Egypt by a young dynamic team in response to a foreseen growing demand for innovative urban solutions. Takween-ICD specializes in the development of integrated packages in urban development services and solutions to support and complement efforts of tackling urban challenges.


Job Purpose

Takween ICD is seeking for interns to assist in field/documentation phase of a new project in a public space in 6th of October City in Cairo. The purpose of the intern is to provide an opportunity for individuals to substantively contribute to and learn from our work. The volunteer will be given specific tasks and responsibilities and will be challenged to develop their capabilities and gain experience.


        The intern will support Takween ICD team particularly in needs assessment of the stakeholders and documentation phases of the working area

        Surveying of existing conditions of the study area

        Working on field with different stakeholders.

        Assisting in developing and maintaining the outcomes

Specifications (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)

        Post graduate student or fresh graduate or successful completion of at least 4 years of an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning or Architecture

        Knowledge, experience and interest in urban development and community participation

        Prior experience in fields relevant to urban development is preferred

        Strong skills (AutoCad, 3D Max or Sketch up)

        Good communication skills

        Good analytical skills

Salary & Benefits

Interns will be paid a nominal monetary compensation for their contribution to the project
